What is going to happen?
You will be asked to lie on your back on the x-ray table. The lower punctum is cannulated using a small catheter. 0.5 – 1.0 ml of iodinated contrast material is injected into the lacrimal sac. Several x-rays will be taken in different positions.
Is it painful?
A small about of discomfort may be experienced during cannulation and injection of contrast.
Do I need to make a booking?
A booking is preferable.
