LOWER LIMBS ANGIOGRAPHY (known as PERIPHERAL ANGIOGRAM or RUN-OFF STUDY)

What are the indications?

Common indication is to assess blocked or narrowed arteries as a cause of acute or chronic pain in the legs. Sometimes it is performed   as   an   introduction   to   interventional   procedure   (like angioplasty/stenting of the stenosed vessel or embolization of the bleeding artery)

Procedure

Same as for general angiography

Is there any additional risk?

Same as for general angiography.

Otherwise depending on intervention. Please refer to angioplasty/stenting or embolization.
